The Horror Writers Association is taking recommendations for Stoker Award works published in 2011. The editors of Apex Magazine feel that these four stories fit the HWA guidelines for horror short fiction. The definition of ‘horror’ is a slippery one, so if you feel one of our other stories is a work of horror and worthy of a recommendation, go for it.
Active, associate, and affiliate members of the HWA can go to this members’ only page to make recommendations.
“The Neighborly Thing to Do” by TJ Weyler
“Frank” by Betsy Phillips
“The Bread We Eat in Dreams” by Catherynne M. Valente.
“I Am Thinking of You in the Spaces Between” by Shira Lipkin
